Classic Liverpool band The Christians return to The Exchange by popular demand.

Renowned for an endless string of soulful yet socially aware hits such as Forgotten Town, Ideal World, Born Again, Harvest for the World as well as the Hillsborough charity number one single Ferry Across The Mersey.

The Christians enjoyed huge acclaim in the late 80s and early 90s and are headed by lead singer Garry Christian, who still deserves the Daily Mirror’s description as having “One of the finest voices in pop”. Garry is in better form than ever.

They have recently had tours with Go West, Hue & Cry, Roachford, Belinda Carlisle, Level 42 and released their new album WE to critical acclaim.

We are really happy to welcome back to The Exchange the Moonlight Swing Band to help us celebrate the 80th Anniversary of VE Day which marked the end of the war in Europe as a whole on 8th May 1945.


We are holding a party and celebratory evening with big band music from the Moonlight Swing Band who will be performing a mix of classic swing, jazz and wartime tunes. Dance along to some Big Band sounds to truly bring the vibe of the era to life!. Come along and enjoy the music and have fun in true 1940s style..

This patriotic and nostalgic afternoon is filled with marvellous and memorable songs, including a rousing selection from Last Night of The Proms, Old Time Sing-alongs, Great British Show Tunes, and ever popular favourites from the 40s 50s & 60s.

This promises to be their biggest and most spectacular patriotic production ever. Over two hours of timeless nostalgia, with sensational voices, more than 50 stunning costume changes, including a spectacular 1940’s style VE Day party with enough bunting, flags and fun to light up the brightest stage, followed by flag waving finale in a heartwarming tribute to the veterans of the armed forces.
