Adventures In Modern Recording – An Intimate Evening with Trevor Horn

From Seal to Frankie Goes to Hollywood, from ABC to Yes, from Grace Jones to Belle and Sebastian, and from Robbie Williams to Pet Shop Boys, one man has been at the heart of some of Britain’s most important pop music of the past 50 years: Trevor Horn.

The super producer has been described as ‘the man who invented the eighties’ and he was also responsible for the sound of such bands as Dollar, Malcolm McLaren, t.A.T.u. and countless more, including Hans Zimmer, Marc Almond, Tori Amos, Peter Gabriel, Phil Collins, Tina Turner, Art of Noise, Rod Stewart, and LeAnn Rimes.

After achieving a number one hit with his band, The Buggles, with Video Killed The Radio Star, Horn became a member of Yes before becoming the most important hit-maker of the 1980s – and beyond. Awards followed – there were four Brits, a 1995 Grammy for Seal’s Kiss From A Rose, a 2010 Ivor Novello for his Outstanding Contribution to British Music, and a CBE.

Following the publication of his best-selling memoir, Adventures In Modern Recording: From ABC to ZTT, Horn is visiting a select handful of theatres to talk about his exploits as a bona fide legend of pop.

Bach, Bows and Arrows! - an audience with Julian & Jiaxin Lloyd Webber

Julian Lloyd Webber and his wife Jiaxin, invite audiences to join them for an evening of music, stories and celebration, as Julian returns,  having just published his candid and widely acclaimed autobiography Bows and Arrows.

Together, Julian and Jiaxin explore the extraordinary story behind Bach’s sublime Cello Suites, how Bach influenced their careers as musicians and how these masterpieces lay undiscovered for nearly two hundred years.

Audiences are treated to a richly illustrated musical journey through Julian’s own remarkable career which features over 60 recorded albums including Variations, Lloyd Webber plays Lloyd Webber and his Brit Award winning recording of Elgar’s Cello Concerto.

Julian is an ambassador of the King’s Trust and a patron for Young Lives versus Cancer, both positions he is proud to have held over thirty years and counting. Julian was the London Underground’s First Official Busker and the only classical musician chosen to perform at the Closing Ceremony of the 2012 Olympic Games.

Bach, Bows and Arrows! includes live performances from Jiaxin, alongside reflections and video clips from Julian’s own personal archive.

Audiences will have a once in a lifetime chance to question both Lloyd Webbers, as they recall working with musical greats including Elton John, Philip Glass, Yehudi Menuhin, Stéphane Grappelli, Joaquín Rodrigo and Julian's brother Lord Andrew Lloyd-Webber.

This is a unique and intimate and insightful evening with two of Britain’s most distinguished musicians.

Los Pacaminos featuring Paul Young Los Pacaminos was formed in summer 1992, when UK pop star Paul Young’s love of all things Tex-Mex led to exploratory discussions with some like-minded musician friends. Within a few weeks, Los Pacaminos was born and rehearsals had begun. The band was originally a six-piece. Joining Paul were guitarist and singer Jamie Moses, accordion/keyboard player Matt Irving, singer/songwriter Drew Barfield, bassist Steve Greetham and drummer Mark Pinder. In November 1992, the boys took to the stage for their first ever gig at the White Horse in Richmond, Matt’s local watering-hole. They went down a storm. Despite expectations that the band would fall apart when something more important came along, the exact opposite happened. With every show, their friendships grew stronger, the band played tighter, and the seeds of their loyal fanbase had been sown. While Paul’s name was used in gig promotion, the Los Pacaminos name and the boys’ trademark stetsons made it clear this wasn’t a Paul Young show. In time, the band started writing and performing their own songs, and the boys knew this wasn’t going to be a short-term project. In 1997, after five years of gigging, Jamie introduced Paul to Melvin Duffy, a pedal steel player he’d played with, and suggested Melvin play on a few songs at the next show. Paul remembers it well: “As soon as Mel took the first solo, we all melted. He had to be in the band, the decision wasn’t his to make!” In 2002, as an established seven-piece band, the Pacs delighted their fans with the release of their eponymous first album. Comprising 12 original songs that ran through their influences, including the Texas Tornados, Doug Sahm, Flaco Jimenez, Roy Orbison, The Band, Chuck Berry, Ry Cooder and Calexico, ‘Los Pacaminos’ pulled in an impressive array of positive reviews. These songs, together with a number of acclaimed covers, became the backbone of their set list over the coming years. In 2015, the boys lost their dear friend and founder member Matt Irving after a long battle with cancer. Although Matty’s boots were very big boots to fill, Steve “Woody” Oakman stepped in as the band’s accordionist a year later. Woody has been a key member ever since and with an unmatched live reputation, two acclaimed studio albums and two live albums under their belts, Los Pacaminos continue to explore and perform the music of the Southwest.

Peter Howarth, lead singer with The Hollies and West End star of Only the Lonely - The Roy Orbison Story, invites you to join him on a musical journey as he performs some of the all-time favourites such as He Ain't Heavy, He's My Brother, You Got It, and Pretty Woman, to name but a few. You don’t want to miss this fabulous show.

Peter Howarth has been the lead singer of the legendary Hollies since 2004 and has recorded three new albums with the band: Staying Power, Then, Now, and Always, and We Got The Tunes on the EMI label. 2022 marked the start of the much-anticipated Hollies 60th Anniversary World Tour. Over the past 35 years, Peter has written, recorded, played, sung, and toured worldwide with a variety of artists ranging from Cliff Richard to The Who. He has also enjoyed his time in theatre, playing the part of Roy Orbison in Bill Kenwright’s Only the Lonely and Four Steps to Heaven at London's Piccadilly and Whitehall Theatres, as well as around the UK. It was also for Bill Kenwright that he wrote the musical Robin Prince of Sherwood and took the role of the Sheriff of Nottingham in the West End and on tour.

Peter has also toured his own show, Peter Howarth Unplugged, featuring classic hits alongside songs from his album Evermore. Peter is co-founder of the acoustic trio Frontmen, based in Germany. The ensemble has produced two DVDs, Live in Berlin 2016 and Up Close Live 2020, plus three albums: All for One, Up Close Live, and most recently in 2024, Enjoy the Ride.

Presented in partnership with Artsreach, this relaxed performance is open to everyone! Featuring a variety of musical sound worlds, audience members are welcome to bring along their own blanket, make noise and move in and out of the space during the performance as needed.

Featuring Spike Edney on keys, Jamie Moses on guitar, Neil Fairclough on bass and Tyler Warren on drums, these world-class musicians reunite to deliver an electrifying celebration of Queen’s greatest hits, performed by the very musicians who helped bring this iconic music to life on stage, over the past 40 years.

SPIKE EDNEY - Keys, Musical Director & Vocals

Spike Edney has been at the heart of Queen’s live sound for more than four decades. He first joined Queen in 1984 for The Works Tour, performing with the band at their legendary Live Aid appearance at Wembley Stadium in 1985, before returning for the historic Magic Tour in 1986 - including two nights at Wembley Stadium and Freddie Mercury’s final Queen performance at Knebworth.

Following Freddie’s death, Spike remained firmly within the Queen family, working with Roger Taylor’s The Cross and joining The Brian May Band, as well as touring with Queen + Paul Rodgers from 2005–2008 and Queen + Adam Lambert from 2012 onwards. He has served as Queen’s touring keyboard player and Musical Director across countless major performances and world tours, including The Rhapsody Tour, The Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert, Live at Wembley, the global Nelson Mandela 46664 Concert series, the Oscars, Global Citizen, Fire Fight Australia, the Platinum Jubilee concert at Buckingham Palace and much more. Spike has also continued his association with Roger Taylor, playing on his Outsider Tour in 2021 and most recently Roger’s 2026 solo tour, Violence Insane in a Beautiful World.

JAMIE MOSES - Guitar & Vocals

Jamie Moses’s association with the Queen family stretches back more than three decades. Recommended by his longtime friend Spike Edney, Jamie joined The Brian May Band for the Back To The Light World Tour in 1993, playing guitar and backing vocals alongside Brian, Spike and the late Cozy Powell. He returned to Brian’s band for the Another World Tour in 1998, touring extensively across the world and performing both Brian’s solo material and Queen classics.

Jamie later joined Brian May and Roger Taylor for Queen + Paul Rodgers, beginning with their 2004 UK Music Hall of Fame performance and going on to become the band’s second guitarist and backing vocalist for the 2005–06 world tour and Rock the Cosmos Tour in 2008. Those years took him around Europe, North America, Asia and South America, helping bring Queen’s music back to arenas around the world.

NEIL FAIRCLOUGH - Bass & Vocals

Neil Fairclough has been holding down the low end for Queen for well over a decade. His association with the band can be traced to performances with Brian May, Roger Taylor and Spike Edney in 2011, before he became the touring bassist for Queen + Adam Lambert, joining the band for their early shows in 2012. Since then, Neil has been part of the Queen touring line-up through successive international tours, including the extensive Queen + Adam Lambert tours and the spectacular Rhapsody Tour.

Neil’s connection with the Queen family extends beyond Queen itself. In 2021 he joined Roger Taylor’s solo band for the Outsider Tour, alongside Spike Edney and Tyler Warren, performing Roger’s solo catalogue as well as Queen favourites. He has continued that relationship with Roger, joining his touring band again for the 2026 Violence Insane in a Beautiful World tour.

TYLER WARREN — Drums, Percussion & Vocals

Multi-instrumentalist Tyler Warren’s journey into the Queen family began behind the drum kit with Queen Extravaganza, the official Queen tribute production created by Roger Taylor. Tyler was part of the original touring line-up and spent several years performing Queen’s notoriously demanding catalogue before making the leap to the real thing.

In 2017, Tyler joined Queen + Adam Lambert as percussionist, additional drummer and backing vocalist alongside Roger Taylor, Brian May, Spike Edney and Neil Fairclough. He went on to become an integral part of the touring band, including the Rhapsody Tour, often sharing drumming duties with Roger himself. Tyler also joined Roger’s solo band for the 2021 Outsider Tour, where he played drums, sang backing vocals and stepped forward to take lead vocals on Roger’s Queen track Rock It (Prime Jive). He continues his work with Roger as part of his 2026 Violence Insane in a Beautiful World touring band.

Tres Pacaminos (formerly known as Dos Amigos)

Three seasoned musicians in their own right - Drew, Jamie and Woody from Los  Pacaminos perform Tex-Mex and Americana classics to give you an unforgettable night. An intimate acoustic performance giving you the best Tex Mex Americana this side of the Good Ole US of A with 3/7ths of Los Pacaminos - former Queen Sideman Jamie Moses alongside Drew Barfield and number one 60’s band Vanity Fair keyboard player Woody Oakman.

Jamie has toured the world extensively and recorded with the likes of Queen + Paul Rodgers, the Brian May Band, Tom Jones, Mike + The Mechanics and a host of others and has established himself as one of Britain's top session guitarists.

Drew Barfield

Singer/songwriter, guitarist.

Drew is an old friend of Joe Jackson, who produced the only album by Drew's former band The Keys way back in 1981. Drew also sang on Joe's album BLAZE OF GLORY and co-wrote songs on LAUGHTER & LUST. He has also worked with Paul Young, Joan Armatrading, Level 42, Elvis Costello, Cathy Dennis, Robbie McIntosh, Hamish Stuart and others.

Steve (Woody) Oakman

Keyboards, accordion, guitar

Steve plays with Vanity Fare, Joe Brown and The Bruvvers, Peter Noone, Brian Poole, Lou Christie, Chris Montez, Dave Berry, Chris Farlowe, Peter Sarstedt, Wayne Fontana, Mike D’Arbo and many others.

After pressure from a growing fan base, Jamie, Drew and Woody are squeezing gigs into as many gaps as possible. The guys will be performing Pacaminos favourites and a range of well known classics - from the 60s to present day. Tres Amigos are fast earning the reputation of being one of the best live acts on the circuit today.

Featuring support act Knights, the project of frontman, vocalist and songwriter James Knights, also known as half of synthpop duo Boytronic.

Inspired by dark discotheques and the future unknown, James is no stranger to gothic and heavy Hi-NRG crowds far and wide. Enticing them with music as uplifting as it is powerful, his loud and frenzied live shows invite audiences into a unique world of chaos, often culminating with James launching himself spontaneously into the audience; fans have playfully given James the title of “Disco Rampensau”, mirroring the passion and energy he delivers. Both charmingly menacing and sonically decadent, the live offering has been compared to the closest thing the world will ever get to “an animated Andrew Eldritch fronting Frankie Goes to Hollywood”.

Dennis Greaves and Mark Feltham, the founding members of Nine Below Zero, started making music and playing live together in South East London back in 1977. Celebrating 50 years of creating and playing some of the finest UK Rhythm n Blues, Nine Below Zero are embarking on a bespoke European Tour in 2027, with very special guests joining them on stage, including legendary Jam bassist Bruce Foxton, fast-rising Zac Shulze, incredible blues pianist Ben Waters, guitarist Robbie McIntosh and long-standing co-performers Dr Feelgood.

 

Nine Below Zero released their classic debut LP 'Live at the Marquee' in 1980, the band kept the momentum going with 'Don't Point Your Finger' in 1981 before releasing their third LP on A&M Records, 'Third Degree' (1982) with the front cover image shot by legendary photographer, David Bailey. Since 1988 they have released a further 20 LP's in an incredible career and Mark Feltham has also been selected as harmonica-player by a whole host of acts including Oasis, Annie Lennox, Talk Talk and Rory Gallagher.

 

Nine Below Zero toured with The Who and The Kinks in 1980 / 81 and also appeared on 'The Old Grey Whistle Test', 'The South Bank Show' and perhaps most memorably, a cameo performance on the cult comedy 'The Young Ones'

Dr Feelgood '40th Anniversary of Doctors Orders Tour'

We are thrilled to welcome British Rhythm 'n' Blues legends Dr. Feelgood.

Formed on Canvey Island in Essex in the early 1970's Dr. Feelgood have become one of the most popular live rhythm and blues acts in the world.

 

Dr. Feelgood have enjoyed a string of hit singles in many countries including Milk & Alcohol, Down at the Doctors, Roxette, She's a Wind Up and See You Later Alligator.

 

The current line-up of the band is led by their drummer Kevin Morris, and features Gordon Russell on lead guitar, Phil Mitchell on bass and charismatic vocalist, Robert Kane.
